Remove yourself from Yellowpages.com

Estimated time: 10–15 minutes. Difficulty: medium.

Steps

  1. Search yellowpages.com for your name. Personal listings live under people.yellowpages.com — copy the URL of yours.
  2. That people-search data comes from Intelius, so do the PeopleConnect suppression as well: see the Addresses.com or Intelius guide. Without it the YP listing rebuilds from the same source.
  3. Open the Thryv privacy request form — the "verifiable consumer request" form named in Thryv's privacy policy, which covers Yellowpages.com, Superpages and DexKnows.
  4. Choose the deletion request type (plus "do not sell/share" if offered), fill in your name, email and the listing details, and submit. Click the verification link the form emails you.
  5. Alternatives: call Thryv's privacy line at 1-844-998-4798, or email ypcsupport@yp.com with your name, address and the listing URL asking for it to be suppressed.
  6. Re-check after two weeks; Thryv's legal maximum is 45 days.
Superpages, Yellowpages.com and The Real Yellow Pages are all Thryv, and one privacy request to Thryv covers all of them. The people-search section of yellowpages.com is fed by Intelius, so a listing there also needs a PeopleConnect suppression (see the Addresses.com / Intelius guides). Thryv has up to 45 days by law to act; expect emails asking you to confirm. Nothing here removes you from the printed phone book — that comes from your phone company.
