Remove yourself from USATrace
Estimated time: 5–10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.
Steps
- Open the USATrace "Your Privacy" page and scroll to the Opt Out section.
- Use the search box on that page — not the main site search — to look yourself up and pass the "verify that you are human" check.
- Find the result that is you and click the block button next to it to request a profile block.
- Each matching result has to be blocked separately, so repeat for old addresses and name variations.
- No email confirmation, phone number or ID is required.
- USATrace says changes take up to 48 hours to reach all servers. Search usatrace.com again after that to confirm.
USATrace and QuickPeopleTrace are both run by QuickLocate LLC, and USATrace states the block applies to both sites. It is a block, not a deletion: the underlying data stays in their sources, so a fresh import can bring you back. Older guides say to email a copied profile link — the on-page block button is the current method. Re-check every few months.
