Remove yourself from UnMask

Estimated time: 10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Open the UnMask opt-out page.
  2. Enter your first name, last name and city/state, tick the CAPTCHA and click Search.
  3. Find your record — check age, address history and relatives — and click "Delete Record".
  4. Enter the first and last name exactly as shown on the record plus an email address, solve the CAPTCHA and click Submit.
  5. Open the email from UnMask (it arrives within minutes; check spam) and click the "Confirm Request" button. Nothing happens until you do. No phone number or ID needed.
  6. UnMask says 5–7 days and sends an approval email when done. Search unmask.com again after a week to confirm.
UnMask runs the same opt-out system as Information.com and CheckPeople (identical form and "Confirm Request" email), but each site needs its own request. Multiple listings need multiple requests. UnMask re-indexes from public records, so plan on re-checking every few months.
