Remove yourself from TruthFinder

Estimated time: 5–10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Open the TruthFinder opt-out page. It sends you to the PeopleConnect Suppression Center, which handles removals for every PeopleConnect site.
  2. Enter your email address, agree to the terms and click Continue.
  3. Open the verification email from PeopleConnect and click the link.
  4. Enter your date of birth, tick the verification box and click Continue. Then enter your full legal name.
  5. Find your record in the list, set "Desired Behavior" to "Suppressed" and click Save. No phone number or ID upload.
  6. Allow 48 hours, then search truthfinder.com for yourself to confirm.
One PeopleConnect suppression covers TruthFinder, Intelius, Instant Checkmate, US Search and ZabaSearch — but PeopleConnect does not email you when it is done, so check each site yourself after 48 hours. New records under a name variation can slip through; re-check every few months.
