Remove yourself from TruePeopleSearch

Estimated time: 10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Open the TruePeopleSearch removal page.
  2. Choose "The subject of this request", enter your name and an email you can open right now, tick the authorization box, solve the CAPTCHA and submit.
  3. Check your inbox (and spam). TruePeopleSearch emails a link to the real opt-out form. The link dies after 24 hours — miss it and you start over.
  4. Click the link and fill in the form with the details exactly as they appear on your listing. If you are shown search results instead, find your record, click "View Details", then "Remove This Record".
  5. You will land on a confirmation page and get a confirmation email. No phone number or ID is required.
  6. Allow about 3 days, then search truepeoplesearch.com for yourself again to confirm.
TruePeopleSearch shares its pipeline with FastPeopleSearch, USPhoneBook and SearchPeopleFree, but each site needs its own opt-out. Got more than one listing (old address, maiden name)? Repeat for each. Expect your data to creep back every few months.
