Remove yourself from Social Catfish
Estimated time: 10–15 minutes. Difficulty: easy.
Steps
- First, search for yourself on socialcatfish.com (name, email, phone, or a photo) and copy the URL of any profile that is you. Optional, but it speeds things up.
- Open the Social Catfish opt-out page and pick your current state of residence from the dropdown.
- Fill in the required fields: first name, last name and email address.
- Add whatever else helps them find you: the profile links from step 1, middle initial, age range, other emails, phone numbers, up to eight photos or image URLs, and previous states. Social Catfish is a reverse image search, so photos matter here.
- Submit. No CAPTCHA, phone verification or ID is required unless they suspect the request is fraudulent, in which case they may ask for more.
- Social Catfish commits to removing your information from sale within 15 days. Search again after that to confirm.
Social Catfish indexes by photo and username as well as name, so a removal by name alone can leave an image-only match behind — include your photos. The form is a request, not an instant delete; if nothing has changed after 15 days, submit again or email their support. Re-check every few months.
