Remove yourself from Public Information Services
Estimated time: 10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.
Steps
- Open the PublicInfoServices privacy-request page (it is the "Remove Me From Website" link under Customer Support in their footer) and click "Get Started".
- Enter your first name, last name, age and state, solve the CAPTCHA and click Continue.
- Find your record in the results — check age and locations — and click "Remove" under it.
- Enter an email address, tick the verification box, solve the second CAPTCHA and click Continue. You get an on-screen "request submitted" notice.
- Open the verification email from PublicInfoServices (check spam) and click the link. No phone number or ID needed.
- They say removal takes "a few days". Search publicinfoservices.com again after a week to confirm. Stuck? Call 1-800-617-3169.
PublicInfoServices (Information Data Resources) uses exactly the same removal flow as SpyFly.com, but each site needs its own opt-out. It is a paid-report site that still lists your name, age and cities for free. One request per listing — repeat for old addresses and name variations, and re-check every few months.
