Remove yourself from PrivateReports
Estimated time: 10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.
Steps
- Open the PrivateReports opt-out page.
- Enter your first name, last name and state (city if asked) and click Search. Solve the CAPTCHA if one appears.
- Find your record — check age, city and relatives, since namesakes are common — and click the green arrow / Continue button on the right.
- Fill in the removal form: email address, full name, address and phone number. Use the address and phone exactly as they appear on the listing. Solve the CAPTCHA and click Submit.
- Open the email from PrivateReports (check spam — it can take up to 48 hours to arrive) and click the "Click to Remove your information" link. Nothing happens until you click it. No ID upload is required.
- Allow about 1–2 weeks. Then search www.privatereports.com again to confirm.
PrivateReports is run by Infomatics LLC and shares its opt-out flow with PrivateRecords.net, BackgroundCheckers.net and CheckSecrets.com — each site needs its own opt-out. The form wants a phone number and address that match the listing; use a throwaway email if you like. Data comes back from public-record refreshes, so re-check every few months.
