Remove yourself from PeopleSmart

Steps

  1. Open the PeopleSmart opt-out page. PeopleSmart is a BeenVerified brand, so its "Do Not Sell / Share My Personal Information" link hands you to BeenVerified's opt-out tool.
  2. Enter your first and last name, choose your state and click Search.
  3. Find your record — check age, cities and employer, since PeopleSmart is the professional-contact side of BeenVerified — and click "Proceed to Opt Out".
  4. Enter an email, solve the CAPTCHA and click "Send Verification Email".
  5. Open the BeenVerified email and click "Verify Opt Out". No phone number or ID needed.
  6. Most listings disappear within 24 hours; PeopleSmart quotes up to 3–7 business days. Search peoplesmart.com again to confirm.
One BeenVerified opt-out covers PeopleSmart, BeenVerified and PeopleLooker. But BeenVerified keeps separate records for name variations (middle initial, maiden name, old employer), so search for each and opt out of each. Data returns from new sources every few months — re-check.
