Remove yourself from PeopleSearchUSA

Estimated time: 10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Open the PeopleSearchUSA opt-out page. It is the same page you reach from the "Do Not Sell Or Share My Personal Info" link in the footer of www.peoplesearchusa.org.
  2. Enter your first name and last name, pick your state and click "Search". Answer any extra narrowing questions (city, age range) if asked.
  3. Scroll the results until you find your record and click the green button/arrow beside it.
  4. Fill in the removal form: an email you can open right now, your full name, address and phone number. Give the ones that appear on the listing — they are used to match the record, not to build a new one. Solve the CAPTCHA and click "Submit".
  5. Open the email from PeopleSearchUSA and click "Click to Remove your information". A confirmation message appears. No ID, no phone call.
  6. The site does not print a removal time; guides report 2–4 days. Search www.peoplesearchusa.org for yourself again after a few days to confirm.
PeopleSearchUSA.org runs the same opt-out system as PeopleSearch123, PeopleSearcher and PersonSearchers — each site needs its own opt-out, and each of your listings (old address, maiden name) needs its own request. Do not confuse it with usa-people-search.com, which is a different broker. Records reappear after data refreshes — re-check every few months. Stuck? Support is support@peoplesearchusa.org.
