Remove yourself from OpenPeopleSearch

Estimated time: 5–10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Open the OpenPeopleSearch "Remove My Info" page (also linked in the site footer) and click "START".
  2. Pick your state from the drop-down and click "CONTINUE". There is an invisible CAPTCHA on this step — if you get "Captcha Validation Failed", turn off your ad or script blocker and try again.
  3. Read and accept the privacy-law notice for your state.
  4. Not in California: fill in the required fields identifying you and your listing, then click "OPT-OUT MY INFO" and "DONE".
  5. In California: enter the details requested and click "KNOW MY DATA" to see what they hold, click "DELETE ALL", then "CONTINUE TO OPT-OUT", fill in the fields, "OPT-OUT MY INFO" and "DONE".
  6. That's it — no confirmation email to click, no phone, no ID. The site does not state a removal time, so search openpeoplesearch.com for yourself after a week to confirm.
