Remove yourself from Ohio Resident Database

Estimated time: 5–10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Go to ohioresidentdatabase.com, enter your first and last name plus city, and click "Search Records".
  2. Find your listing and click the red "View Details" button. Copy the full URL of that profile from the address bar.
  3. Open the Ohio Resident Database opt-out page (also "Opt Out" in the footer). Paste the profile URL into the box and submit.
  4. Fill in your full name and an email address, pick a reason (e.g. "Privacy Concerns"), tick the box confirming you are requesting removal of your own record, solve the CAPTCHA and click "Submit".
  5. You get an on-screen confirmation and that is it — no verification email to click, no phone, no ID. Screenshot it.
  6. Ohio Resident Database says the record comes down within 24–48 hours. Re-search after two days to confirm.
Ohio Resident Database and Florida Residents Directory are the same operator with the same form, but each site needs its own opt-out. The site only lets you remove one profile per day — if you have lived at several addresses, each is a separate record, so plan on coming back. The data is rebuilt from voter-roll releases, so a fresh listing can appear after the next update; re-check every few months.
