Remove yourself from NJPropertyRecords

Estimated time: 5–10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Search njpropertyrecords.com by your name or property address and click the result that is yours. Copy the page URL from the address bar.
  2. Open the NJPropertyRecords redaction form (also "Request redaction" in the footer).
  3. Paste your profile URL, enter your full name and email address, and give a reason for the request. Submit.
  4. Unless you are a Daniel's Law covered person (judge, prosecutor, law enforcement, or their household family — those requests are processed automatically), you get a confirmation email. Click the link to validate the request. No ID or phone required.
  5. NJPropertyRecords says the listing is redacted within about 24 hours and disappears from Google and other search engines within 5–7 days. You get an approval email when it is done.
The redaction is not permanent: it lasts one year, or until a new sale or transfer of the property hits the public record — whichever comes first. Set a reminder to redo it. Depending on your eligibility your data may be hidden from the public but still visible to registered users. The same New Jersey property data is also on NJParcels.com, which has its own separate redaction form.
