Remove yourself from National Cellular Directory

Steps

  1. Search nationalcellulardirectory.com for your name or phone number so you know how your record reads.
  2. Open the National Cellular Directory opt-out form. No account is needed.
  3. Fill in email, first, middle and last name, street address, city, state and the phone number you want removed.
  4. Type the number shown in the CAPTCHA image (refresh the page if you can't read it) and submit. No email link, phone call or ID follows.
  5. Prefer not to use the form? They also take requests by phone at (888) 346-9978 or by email to privacy@nationalcellulardirectory.com.
  6. Wait two weeks, then search again to confirm.
National Cellular Directory promises removal "in approximately 7–14 days" and says it will not ask you to re-authorize data sales for at least 12 months — which is another way of saying your record may be rebuilt after a year. Set a reminder. It sells full reports, so being listed for free is only the tip of what they hold.
