Remove yourself from LocateFamily

Steps

  1. Find yourself on locatefamily.com — browse by surname letter or use the street lists. Copy the page URL (it must start with https://www.locatefamily.com) and note the entry number shown to the left of your name.
  2. Open the LocateFamily removal request form.
  3. Enter your name and telephone, then an email address that clearly belongs to you (e.g. your.name@…). Gmail "+" tags and throwaway domains are auto-rejected and the listing stays up.
  4. Paste the page URL and the entry number(s) — comma-separated if several are on the same page. Different pages need separate forms.
  5. Tick the reCAPTCHA and submit. You get a confirmation email; if none arrives, check the site's list of rejected requests. No phone call or ID is required.
  6. Re-check the page after a week or two. If a listing has a trash-can icon next to it, that shortcut form (name, email twice, CAPTCHA) works too.
LocateFamily is strict: it rejects disposable email addresses, "+" filters, and any address that does not plausibly match your name — the rejected-requests list on the site shows how often that happens. It publishes no removal deadline; expect days to weeks, and re-check after each site update (tick the update-notification box and they will email you when one happens). Entries on different pages need separate submissions.
