Remove yourself from Instant Checkmate

Estimated time: 5–10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Open the Instant Checkmate opt-out page. Instant Checkmate is owned by PeopleConnect, so you land in the PeopleConnect Suppression Center.
  2. Enter your email address, agree to the terms and click Continue.
  3. Click the verification link in the email PeopleConnect sends you.
  4. Enter your date of birth, tick the verification checkbox and click Continue, then enter your full legal name.
  5. Locate your record, choose "Suppressed" under "Desired Behavior" and click Save. No phone number or ID required.
  6. Wait 48 hours and search instantcheckmate.com again to confirm.
The same suppression should also clear TruthFinder, Intelius, US Search and ZabaSearch. PeopleConnect sends no completion email — verify on each site yourself. Suppression stops display; it does not delete the underlying record, and fresh data can resurface later.
