Remove yourself from FreePeopleDirectory

Steps

  1. FreePeopleDirectory is a Spokeo front end — its "Do Not Sell My Info" link goes straight to Spokeo's privacy page. Opting out of Spokeo removes the FreePeopleDirectory listing too, so start there: follow our Spokeo guide (copy your Spokeo profile URL, paste it into the Spokeo opt-out form with your email, click the confirmation link).
  2. Then check freepeopledirectory.com itself: search your name, open your listing and copy its URL from the address bar.
  3. Open freepeopledirectory.com/optout. The whole form is one box: "Enter the profile URL you wish to remove". Paste the URL and click "Submit". No email, phone, CAPTCHA or ID.
  4. Repeat step 3 for each listing you find (old addresses, name variants).
  5. Spokeo removals land in 24–72 hours; FreePeopleDirectory has been seen to take 1–2 weeks. Re-search after two weeks to confirm.
The site itself warns that removing a listing "will not remove your information from its original source" — it re-aggregates. If you skip the Spokeo step, expect the listing to come back. Re-check every few months.
