Remove yourself from CocoFinder
Estimated time: 10 minutes. Difficulty: easy — but you need your record URL first.
Steps
- Search for yourself on cocofinder.com (first name, last name, city, state) and click "Start Search".
- Find your listing and click the green "Check Details" button. Copy the URL of that page from the address bar — the opt-out form will not work without it.
- Open the CocoFinder "Remove My Info" page and click the "filling out this form" link.
- Enter your first name, last name, an email address, paste the record URL and write a one-line message asking for removal. Submit.
- No CAPTCHA, phone or ID is required and there is no confirmation link to click. If you prefer, email the same details to support@cocofinder.com instead.
- CocoFinder says 48 hours. Search cocofinder.com again after a few days to confirm.
One form submission covers one record URL, so if CocoFinder lists you more than once (old address, maiden name) repeat for each. Listings come back from public-record refreshes; people report re-doing this roughly every 3–6 months. Keep the email you sent as proof if you need to escalate.
