Remove yourself from BeenVerified

Estimated time: 10 minutes. Difficulty: easy.

Steps

  1. Go to the BeenVerified opt-out search.
  2. Search for yourself by first + last name and state.
  3. Click "This is me" on your record, then enter an email for verification.
  4. Open the BeenVerified confirmation email and click the opt-out link.
  5. Note: you may need to opt out of variations (with/without middle initial, maiden name, etc.) — search for each.
  6. Wait up to 24 hours; re-search to confirm removal.
BeenVerified shares data with several sister sites. Opting out here doesn't always cover everything — still check PeopleSmart, Intelius, and NeighborWho separately.
